Happy Feet

I have no idea if these Humboldt penguins know how to sing and dance like their counterparts in that highly successful animated movie but they were certainly cute to ogle at.

When we entered the room, I thought they were part of the display, it was only when one of them moved that I noticed they were real. I was a bit disappointed that you cannot see them at eye level, they are contained inside a glass enclosure which I assume is air conditioned.

But I'm still glad I saw real penguins even though we live in a tropical land. :D

i'm a fan of the new template as well. did you see them at feeding time because each time i go i never see them getting fed.

Thanks it took a while for me to decide which template to use.

That would be totally wacky if the penguins would suddenly just break into a song and dance production number. :D

@Photo Cache no it wasn't feeding time. But you can have your picture taken with them, well only your head will be showing. So the photographer would bait the penguins with a fish so that they would approach for the photo op.
I didnt opt for it because I'm sure I'm too short to even be seen. hehe ;)

We were there last December. Yohan was thrilled to see penguins up close again. The first time he saw penguins was at Singapore Zoo.

Yohan and my friend's kids enjoyed the big slide beside the penguin exhibit.

@Rach We didn't try the slide, I figure we are too old already for it hehehe.

Oh now I want to visit the Singapore Zoo to see penguins! :D
