I know ... I know. These posts are long overdue as they are from our Yuletide holidays, 4 months ago. But we returned from that trip sick as dogs. We were stricken with fever and severe coughs. By we, I am referring to me and my parents. I got sick during our last week there.
I guess I was exposed to the really cold climate (temperatures reach 8 degrees Celsius) when we went to the highest point known as The Peak. It was really cold and foggy you couldn't see anything from the viewing deck. I was down with high fevers, chills and threw up everything I ate then was inundated with severe coughs.
I was worried I would be too sick to take the return flight home but thankfully my fevers vanished and I was only dealing with the coughs. It was really bad though and I apologize to my fellow passengers if I infected them. It took a while for all of us to get rid of our nasty coughs. I believe it was already mid February when we were all cured!
We have been going to Macau as a side trip during our vacations for years now. But we were able to discover new attractions to amuse ourselves with. At Studio City Macau, they have this ride/cabin/cable cars which go around the number 8 design located at the top of this casino/hotel. It is known as the Gold Reel. The ride lasts for 20 minutes and it costs HK$ 100/pax. It was fun and the ride moves at a slow pace so you don't get dizzy plus the view is quite panoramic.
