I just want to say

I got my hair trimmed, this weekend.

So for 24 hours I had straight hair.

It felt good while it lasted.

I took a bath, the next day.

So it's back to wavy hair, alas.

But it is at a manageable length.

So I guess I just have to live with it! :D
