1) I put mayonnaise on my hair for 20 minutes every month.
2) I take out the pickles from fast food burgers. I don't eat them.
3) I read the last page of the Time Magazine first.
4) At the cinemas, I only eat popcorn when the trailers are shown. I believe that the popping sound in my ears would prevent me from hearing the dialogue of the movie, clearly.
5) If ever I hear Mass, I don't receive Holy Communion.
6) I cannot stand a ruffled book cover so I put something heavy on it when I'm done reading it for the night.
7) I need total darkness for me to fall asleep. If not I just lie awake on my bed till it is time to get up.
8) I sometimes have really impure thoughts. I won't elaborate!
9) My favorite boy band is/was Westlife but I don't know the names of the band members.
10) I always think that when someone doesn't email/IM/SMS/write me back within 3 days is due to just two reasons.
a. They are in a hospital.
b.They died.
It's weird really but I adhere to that thought process. In this age of advanced technology, prompt communication is essential. So sparing just 3 minutes to merely say "Hi, I got your message, will reply soon" is enough to assuage me. But then I freaking realize I am not very high on their priority list. So tough luck, but that's another issue.

Who is the easiest person for you to talk to?
It depends on the subject matter. But that would be my sister, my best friend Donna and ER. 2 of them are not physically around so go figure how I cope with my angst. I haven't chatted with ER since I got deluged with work, no wonder I'm cranky as a witch!

If you could live in any ancient city during the height of the quality of its society and culture, which one would you choose?
I would choose ancient Paris. The period before the French Revolution though. The grand palaces, the monarchy, the lavish parties and all those fabulous corsetted gowns. It was also a great era to be enriched by all those great intellectuals who still influence the way we think today.

What is the most exciting event you've ever witnessed?
I would say, the Bon Jovi concert. It was sometime in 1993 at the Sentosa Rock Festival in Singapore. I remember it was raining that evening so the field was muddy. I was so overjoyed to see them I didn't mind being wet to my bones as I danced to their songs on soggy grounds.

If you were a celebrity, what would you do for a publicity stunt?
I won't need publicity stunts I would just blow their minds away with my abundant talent! Teehee! =)

What do you consider the ideal age to have a first child?
This is a tricky question. It is difficult to state a mandatory age for a woman to have her first child. Age has nothing to do with it. One must be truly ready and responsible to rear a kid. Some women might be ready at the age of 19 while others like me for example at 36, I'm not ready. And NEVER would be responsible enough to raise another human being.
I guess KNOW, I'm simply too selfish!

I'm reading about the new castaways on one of my favorite reality TV shows. Survivor: Guatemala starts on September 16, Friday at Studio 23.

I'm researching about some French movies which will be shown on TV 5 this weekend.
This website is like the ImDB for French films. If it is Belgian movies, I use this one for information.

Then I stumbled upon a site which chronicles the travels of 2 cousins. They have ventured on this grand voyage to visit 100 UNESCO world heritage list sites. Primarily written in French but they do have an English version as well. Fascinating read and lovely pictures too!

So they rejected the impeachment report of the Justice Committee at that ridiculously tedious marathon session at the Batasan yesterday.

Now WHAT???

I didn't even bother to watch the farce. It irritated me to see Congressmen of every form, shape and accent grandstand in front of the cameras live on ANC.

But I really needed a break before my head exploded. So yesterday, I headed off to the movies. My sure fire way of relieving stress.
I saw "Manderlay" and it completely bowled me over. Now, if you are into movies depicting injustice suffered by humanity then I highly recommend this film.

Speaking of injustice, I still can't get over the total anarchy prevailing in New Orleans. Certainly influenced by a certain American dude who doesn't dig me, I've gotten hooked on articles from newsletters such as Salon and Counter Punch. But I think I am better off focusing on a good cause like this one.

I'm pulling an all nighter and apparently I'm incoherent at this point. So I'll just stop rambling and end this post.
